Terms of Service — Siete o Muerte

By installing, opening, or using the Siete o Muerte mobile app (the "App"), you agree to these terms. If you don't, please uninstall.

1. The deal

Siete o Muerte is a card game published by agile turtles (the "Operator", "we", "us"). The free tier is yours to use indefinitely. The Pro tier unlocks additional features for a one-time payment of €3.99 (or local-currency equivalent set by Apple / Google), processed by the platform store.

There are no subscriptions. There are no recurring charges from us. There are no in-app currencies, gachas, loot boxes, or pay-to-win mechanics.

2. Your account

• You don't need an account to play. The app creates an anonymous one for you on first launch.
• You may optionally link an email so your stats and Pro entitlement work across devices. Adding an email is reversible (Settings → Sign out clears local state; deletion is on request).
• One person, one account is the spirit of the rule. Don't share your account, don't sell access, don't try to claim Pro you didn't pay for.

3. The free trial and Pro purchase

• New players get a 7-day free trial with everything below unlocked, starting on first launch. When it ends, the app keeps working for free (2-player local + Easy bot); a one-time purchase restores full access.
• Pro unlocks: all bot tiers, 3–6 player local play, multi-bot solo, online multiplayer, display titles, and future content updates.
• Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, governed by their billing terms. Refunds are handled there, not by us.
• Pro is tied to your Operator account (anonymous or email-linked). Restoring on a new device is supported via "Restore previous purchase" in Settings.

4. Acceptable use

• Don't cheat in online matches. The server is authoritative — most cheats won't work — but trying to game it (modified clients, automated play, exploiting bugs maliciously) gets your account permanently disabled.
• Don't impersonate other players via display names. Names that target real people (yours or anyone else's) may be reset without notice.
• Don't try to break the service (DoS, scraping, bypassing rate limits, exploiting other users' accounts). We will block you and may report to the platform.
• Don't reverse-engineer the app beyond what your local laws expressly permit.

5. Online multiplayer specifics

• Online lobbies use a 6-character code. Anyone with the code joins. We don't publish your code anywhere.
• Game state is shared in real time among players in the same lobby. By definition this means your moves are visible to opponents.
• We retain online game state for 30 days, then delete it.
• Disconnected players who don't return within the round may auto-pass; the game continues.

6. Updates and availability

• We update the app from time to time. Most updates are bug fixes and feature additions — included in your free or Pro tier at no additional cost.
• We may pause or shut down the online multiplayer service with reasonable notice (we'd rather not, but for example if costs become unsustainable). Solo and local pass-and-play do not require our servers and will keep working.
• We don't promise the App is always available or bug-free. We do try hard.

7. Intellectual property

• The Siete o Muerte name, art, sounds, code, and game design are owned by agile turtles. You may share screenshots and gameplay videos for non-commercial purposes (streaming, social media) — that's encouraged.
• The press-your-luck card game *concept* (drawing cards, busting on duplicates, scoring at seven uniques) is a generic mechanic and not anyone's property.

8. User-generated content

The only content you create is your display name and (in v1.1+) friend list. We don't collect free-text chat. If we ever add chat, it'll be governed by additional moderation rules.

9. Disclaimers and liability

• The App is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the extent allowed by law.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• Where mandatory consumer protection law (e.g. EU consumer rights) gives you stronger rights than this section, those rights apply unaffected.

10. Termination

• You may stop using the App at any time. Uninstalling clears your local data. Email support@agileturtles.gr to delete server-side data.
• We may terminate accounts that violate these terms. We'll usually warn first; for serious abuse we won't.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Greek law. Disputes go to the courts of Athens, Greece. If you're a consumer in another EU country, you may also rely on the consumer protection law of your country of residence.

12. Changes

We'll update the date at the top whenever these terms change materially and announce the change in-app on next launch. Continued use after the update means acceptance.
